Planet Fitness Santa Fe – Big Box Retail Redevelopment

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Delivered the architectural design for a 15,000-square-foot Planet Fitness facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as part of a high-impact design-build retail redevelopment. The project focused on the adaptive reuse and modernization of a large-format retail footprint, integrating a mission-specific interior layout with a comprehensive site master plan. A critical project driver was the optimization of high-density parking and pedestrian circulation to accommodate the high turnover and heavy peak-hour traffic volume characteristic of a flagship fitness center.

Role: Construction Integration Manager / Lead Architectural Designer

Led the architectural design and site coordination for a 15,025-square-foot big-box retail project, managing the design-build process from conceptual planning through site execution. Directed the design of the site’s 128-space parking network and vehicular access points, ensuring efficient traffic flow and maximum parking utilization to meet both tenant operational needs and municipal zoning code. Coordinated with engineering consultants and the construction team to align building modifications with site infrastructure improvements, delivering a secure and accessible facility for a national retail brand.
